This will include ( as a preliminary idea) GIS mapping of the railway and road network in Mumbai so that live updates are available on the conditions of travel on a day to day basis. Secondly, we would contribute our education and expertise in the design of stations and of railway compartments so that we can eliminate crime through proper design as much as possible. I am an architect from Pune and have many friends who are the same and also engineers who would gladly volunteer their time for this effort. The idea is that if we speak with a collective voice with the government and also include them in this process, change may be brought about faster. The newly proposed metro system for Mumbai is decades away and we feel that something needs to be done now. The implementation of such proposals and is the area where we need your guidance.
